Keeping the Harvest
In Wisconsin we have only a few short months to enjoy fresh, locally grown produce. But there are easy and economical ways to "keep the harvest" into the winter months. Home food preservation doesn't have to be scary or overwhelming and it is the best feeling to eat a locally grown strawberry in the middle of January or share a jar of dilly beans with friends in mid-winter.
