Oakridge Update!

Sweet Corn season is here! 

Oakridge Farms has sweet corn available daily for $4.50/dozen, picked fresh from our fields everyday! We also have cucumbers, green beans, summer squash, beets and honey.  Tomotoes are coming sloooowly, but before you know we will be dusting of those canning jars.  We grow too many variaties of tomatoes to list so get ready to taste test and show your friends the "funny" looking tomatoes you picked up at the farm stand.

Michigan bluberries can be purchased in a 10# box for $30.00.  They are very easy and economical to freeze and enjoy our of season. Swing by the CB farmstand or call 725-1541 to have a box put on hold for you.

We now have  pickling cucumbers available!  16.00/half bushel, 32.00/bushel.  Please call 725-1541 or talk to our friendly staff in person.  Please specify small (4 inches or less) or large (4+ inches) and when you would prefer to them up and we will put together your order. Pickling cucumbers keep best in our large cooler which is why we prefer a preorder system!

We are seeing a disheartening trend at many of our farmers' markets, an increased amount of produce being purchased from other areas of the country and resold by vendors. We value farmers' markets as a way to directly connect consumers with producers, to provide the freshest produce possible grown as close to home as possible and to share the joys and challenges of farming in Northeast Wisconsin. If locally grown food is why you shop at a farmers' markets, we encourage you to ask questions and learn about what is truly in season when. In other words....know your farmer, know your food!
